Front: illustrator Dave Dorman’s evocative cover for the comic book series issued by Dark Horse. The Alien films adapted easily to comics with their combination of military-style action, monster movie melodrama and imaginative, artful set/costume design. Dorman, in addition to being a celebrated painter, designed many characters and concepts for the popular Alien toy line. Back: line art concept for another Dorman comic book cover.
